"Professor Nicolas told me that if you woke up, I should take you to class with me, so change your clothes because it starts in five minutes," Song said.

"What class?"

"Magical Artifacts of Aramor. There's magic involved, so it should be fun.”

"Magic? Silly magic like in HiberNATION?”

Song didn't bother to respond.

Victoria got up, her legs still shaky. She went to the bathroom, flushed Gael's letter down the toilet, repeating the main parts of the text to herself. Seconds after flushing, she could barely remember the names. Only the procs, they were the enemies. Procs, procs, easy to remember. She tried to ignore that Barbara had decided to stay. She felt abandoned twice. Her biological mother was killed because of this stupid planet. And now Barbara would be too because of São Paulo. "Stop thinking, stop, or you'll go crazy." She put on the yellow jumpsuit Song handed her. After wearing it, she saw her name emblazoned on the back in the bathroom mirror.

The classroom was in a pentagon shape, with benches of five different colors, one for the yellow team where the other members were sitting. One of them was a thin brown-haired boy named Eduardo, another was a short, tanned boy named Caio, and the third girl was a particularly beautiful brunette with blue eyes named Stephanie. Caio and Eduardo couldn't take their eyes off her.

"You're late, even though I said I had zero tolerance for lateness. But since you're here, Miss Victoria, sit down and tell me what a shila is," Professor Nicolas said, approaching the yellow table.

"You read the class material, didn't you?"

"I just woke up. I was hospitalized because I had an allergic reaction to the screening exam. I'm sorry, I usually prepare for classes. It won't happen again."

"Okay, Miss Victoria. I wasn't expecting much after seeing your results." The whole class laughed, except for a few.

Vicky scanned the room with her eyes until she found a familiar face. Rocco winked at her, shaking his head disapprovingly at the professor.

"Nicolas is a jerk," Song whispered in Victoria's ear.

"Can anyone help Victoria? What is a shila from Aramor?" Professor Nicolas asked.

"The shila is a magical artifact forged by mages from the Island of Aramor thousands of years ago. It functions like a magic wand. When it's inactive, it's a round stone ball, carved with tribal drawings of animal faces. When someone touches it with the intention of using it, the ball unfolds and becomes the mystical animal that floats at the top of the wand. Each shila is unique, and their powers vary. Some are used for household chores, others function as keys, some open wormholes, and others control the environment. They can be used as weapons and have been, many times, in Sigma's history," said Allegra, a member of the red team.

"Bravo!" said Professor Nicolas.

"What a load of crap," Victoria thought. In her mind, magic was a low-class thing, something from HiberNATION.

A black boy with pointed ears, dressed with a black cloak, knocked on the door. He was tall, with awkward shoulders held by a hunch.
